The Counseling Center's on line counseling may be all the help you'll ever need to turn your situation around. For many people, however, further counseling may be appropriate. We obviously believe that Christian counselors are best. We offer guidelines below to help you choose the right one.
1. Make sure the counselor you pick is a born-again believer.
2. Be sure this person is mature and experienced.
3. Check to see if they use the Bible as the cornerstone of their advice.
4. Find a counselor directly connected to, or recommended by a Bible believing local church.
5. If the person you choose makes a living as a professional counselor, be sure you understand their fees before your sessions begin.
6. Ask your prospective counselor to provide references of people advised within . the past year. Be willing to check them out.
7. Pray and ask God for guidance in finding the right counselor for you.
